Please note that this devotional journal is not a 20 to 30 minutes ‘ fix it mentality or what is known as make me feel good devotional’. The day of maturity is here and we’re expected to invest our time and resource for maturity.

The Lord is powerfully driving his Church beyond the limited religious mental perceptions of his truth in our day. We can’t afford to remain blind and bound to the lower realms of spiritual realities. The Lord demands acceleration of spiritual hunger, passion and revelation for spiritual matters so we can come into the realm of divine manhood and oneness with our Father.

As much as we need to start from the elementary level in spiritual growth, we are expected to come into the tertiary realm of things pertaining to life and godliness. Our level of spiritual knowledge must increase and be upgraded in order to synchronize with the relevant process of the present demand of the becoming  sons within the kingdom.

Heb 5:12 For indeed, [though] you* ought to be teachers by this time, you* again have need [for someone] to be teaching you* what [are] the rudimentary elements [or, basic teachings] of the beginning of the oracles of God, and you* have become [ones] having need of milk and not of solid food.

Heb 5:13 For everyone partaking of milk [is] inexperienced in [the] word of righteousness, for he is a young child.

Heb 5:14 But solid food is for [the] mature, for the ones having, because of practice, their powers of discernment having been trained to discern [between] both good and evil.

The overcomer’s concept of devotion

The concept of this resource is to first build within your faculty the right spiritual template and the capacity of a traveler {migrant} which takes you beyond a sense of settling down in one realm of truth. The manifestation of sound spiritual life must migrate from the outer court realm of salvation into the most holiest place of our relationship with the Spirit of the Father, like its seen in the tabernacle of Moses.

Advancement into God requires a continual search attitude, a thirst soul and an unending passion to apprehend God in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. Your spiritual nourishment and continual development in the acts of obedience is a daily passion and desire you need to grow.

As it is important to start your devotion {prayer, study and meditation} with a set period in mind, you should press to grow beyond that realm to a position of continual spirit to Spirit interaction, which then creates the opportunity to walk in the realm of hearing and seeing every trial and challenge from your synchronized position with God as you go about your daily duty in the marketplace.

True devotion should not only give a sense of Gods presence but also the required capacity to remain in that position that is ten times better than all your contemporaries, according to Prophet Daniel’s lifestyle and the three Hebrew guys in Babylon.

To successfully do this you must develop a capacity that can operate outside the boundaries of societal degrees and commands, you must have a breakthrough mentality not bound to traditional cultural affiliations or geographical location within the concept of your spirituality and mentality of God, less your required family duties and business requirements will hinder your commitment {devotion} to the Lord.

Your devotion {relation} should bring sound sensitivity and not necessarily be disenfranchised due to the sense of lack of time.  The core of spirituality is that you’re not in any way bound by the things that keep earth dwellers from finding and fulfilling their mission on earth. The issue of lack of money or opportunity to press into your ordained purpose is completely unacceptable!  Trying to please everyone to get acceptance and love is immaterial to your new found culture.

Your devotion, your lifestyle

Your devotion ought to strategically position you for victory and breakthroughs amongst blind earth dwellers like Daniel and the three Hebrews Boys. In other word, your understanding and mentality of approaching the altar {place or realm} of devotion defines what you’re going to both become and display and not necessarily receive from the Lord as most believer’s assume. Millions of Christians approach their devotional life with the mentality and perception of what to receive rather than what they’re to be transformed into.

The purpose of devotion is not for mere receiving a blessing ,even though that gets to be manifested as a result of who you become in his presence. Believers do need to understand that they don’t need to pray for blessing, blessing is the result of your salvation. The very day you gave your life to Christ and he becomes your owner, his blessing and goodness automatically become your own.

The procedure or principle of approaching and making such inheritance visible in your life is another ball game.  Your approach to developing a sound spiritual devotional lifestyle should be that of a deep desire for a nature reform like Jacob the son of Isaac the father of us all.

Jacob begged and cried out for a change of his name {nature} from the angel of the Lord whom he wrestled with till the breaking of the day. The word of the Lord says as we keep our constant focus on the perfect law of liberty and not forget who we are in him we are being daily changed into his very life and nature. {2 Corinthians 3} You need to define within your heart the motive and agenda of you devotional life.The daily lifestyle devotional seeks to challenge you to make time to rebuild and maintain your relationship with God amidst the pressing demands and challenging issues of life.

Where to start from

In a world where everything is becoming quick and fast, including our half an hour church services is not making things easy for today’s Christians. It is almost becoming impossible to keep abreast with our relationship and communion with both the Lord and his Body.

Our devotion to the Lord is constantly being challenged by all this commitment, yet are distractions to developing sound spiritual balance. The growth of the spiritual depends on the level we’re willing to sacrifice other things. The term quiet time for too many Christian is just a time where they spend a few minutes to pray and read their bible.

To truly manifest the meaning of devotion, you need to be disciplined, committed, loyal, faithful and sold out to intimate relationship with the Lord. In a world where time for spiritual development has become a luxury to most Christian due to the lack of inadequate understanding of the nature and value of what truly sustain them. The weak foundation of most believers is constantly becoming weakened through the shaking and impact of the storms, wind and floods of life challenging their faith and stand for Christ.

As people try to juggle between their business, work life, family and Church commitment, time seems never to be enough to manage all these important commitments at the same time.  One of the keys to spiritual victory is to accurately define what is most important in the order of spiritual existence. When I say spiritual existence I do not mean a form or act of spirituality, I mean the lifestyle powered by the nature and directive of the Holy Spirit.

The complexity of the present human society requires divine capacity to be able to effectively survive and still make the right impact.  Priority is a key word to staying afloat in the midst of all these issues demanding your attention at the same time.

Prioritizing your life according to divine order is one of the most important or difficult choices you’ll be making in life. Most people are living their life without a clue of what it’s all about. Unfortunately many so called believers are also in this realm of spiritual darkness.

Life begins when you understand its purpose and meaning not just for yourself but for all humanity. Many of us were born into a dysfunctional {society} homes and family that have no clear direction to what the Lord has in store for us.

We wake up in the morning say our little religious prayers just like any other religion out there; continue through the challenge of the day without direction of purpose. Though we are educated and highly successful in the eyes of our families, friends and society yet we are has blind as a Bat when it comes to issues that define our future and destiny.

Daily lifestyle does not seek to help you juggle or find a balance between what many call ‘spirituality’ and ‘the circular life’. Daily lifestyle seeks to first bring you into the precise definition of what life means from God’s perspective and then position to prioritize your life from such view-point so that you don’t waste time doing thing that carries no eternal value. What many today call devotional time is nothing but mere Christian religious activity to either to impress or appease their weak and guilty conscience.

It’s important you understand that relationship with God is beyond a certain time you keep in praying, worshiping, and studying of the word as most Christians assume. Beyond all these important spiritual acts, you certainly need to create a lifestyle of worship which include your entire life’s activity. {Romans 12:2-3}  Daily lifestyle will provide our readers with the right resource material for the daily spiritual feeding of believers.

Relationship is the core of the Christian faith

The very core of all human existence and fulfillment lies within the nature and reality of proper relationship. As air and water is to man for survival, so is relationship. God created us as a species who must communicate, interact and be interdependent on one another for survival, function and the fulfillment of our ordained destiny here on earth.

Yet, when the lack of precise understanding and protocol that should guide and govern this powerful eternal principle eludes the human heart; people generally become vulnerable and victims of abuse even when the relationship is Christian based.  It is said that almost 80% of traumatic issues are caused by a wrong concept of relationship.  How we need to find our way back to him who creates all things for his own good pleasure.

The moment our relationship with God is broken every other thing around us, including our relationship with family and friends begins to collapse.  God is the centre of life, for anyone to live this life successfully you need to first see life from His view lest you build on humanistic philosophy. We believe that the truth we will be dealing with in this devotional material will help bring adjustment and deeper clarity to your spiritman.

The definition of the believer’s devotion

The believer’s devotion {commitment faithfulness and loyalty} is the continual drawing of divine life and direction from the illuminating revelation of Christ, as we journey and navigate the ancient path into the realm called preferred in the Spirit. We should never come to a place where we assume we have arrived in the things of the Spirit. There is always another realm of attainment in Christ.

Maturing into Christ life and character for the accurate expression and representation of the kingdom of God should be the pursuit of every child born into the kingdom of God. It is sad to see the shallow and soulish Christian behavior today; when it comes to the issue of representation we have fallen far below God’s expectation. Rebuilding our love, faith and hope in Christ is a crucial battle that all believers need to fight.
